EVERYTHING MATTERS – THE TRUTH ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY

Leading a sustainable lifestyle means adapting so that you avoid further depletion of the earth’s natural resources. From conserving water and improving air quality, to taking care of the natural world so that forests can soak up carbon dioxide and wildlife can thrive, there is so much we can help with.

There are endless ways to live sustainably. You can live sustainably by reducing your use of resources, composting, relying on clean energy sources, reducing your consumption of single-use plastic, eating fewer animal products, shopping for clothing and other items sustainably, buying local, and more.

Many people have taken to calling this type of lifestyle the low-impact movement instead. This is to help shift the focus beyond trash and plastic, and rather towards the idea of lowering the overall impact we have on the environment.

The terms zero waste lifestyle, low-impact lifestyle, and sustainable lifestyle are often used interchangeably since they have the same fundamental goal. The goal is to lower our environmental impact.

Why is Sustainable Living important?

With climate change becoming a bigger problem every day, it is now more important than ever for everyone to do their part. We need to reduce the environmental impact we have. Demanding lawmakers and corporations institute laws or policies to help with that is extremely important, but lowering your personal impact can make a big difference on its own.

Changes are needed

The truth is; there is no planet B. That is why it is so important that we keep our planet and environment safe for us and future generations. The fact is there is no getting away from ourselves, our habits, our beliefs, or our lifestyle.

We need to do everything in our power to make sure that we are leading a sustainable lifestyle and cultivate the correct habits every day. Everything and everyone on earth are connected. As humans, animals, and plants, we are all connected, so we need to accept that one person's actions will influence another. We are one planet.

Being the change

No matter what you believe, what anyone believes, we have to take responsibility for our actions and choices. Everything we do, everyone's actions on this planet affects this planet. There are so many potential environmental horrors that lie in store for us if we do not change our ways. We lie to ourselves and believe that these problems will just disappear. We cannot keep destroying the oceans and overfishing. The reality is, if we do not change our ways, there will not be life left in our oceans or forests.

The reason we are telling you these things is that we want everyone to realize that even with the ethical products we stock, there is still so much room for improvement in the way we consume. While we are a company that sells our products according to the strict ethical guidelines that we have, the very fact that we need to do this is because there is room for improvement. We sell bamboo and silver products because they are better than plastic.

It is easy to post about Zero waste living and going green on social media or chat about your new lifestyle when hanging out with friends and family. Educating loved ones around you can play a big part in the environment. Do your part today!
